25p a week back to every household

“Welsh Water could pay every household 25p a week.”

unsupported Retired in version 2.0.0, 2 October 2026.

Where it appeared: Model v1, 'Front Page' and 'Sensitivity & GDP'.

Why it failed

It was £17.6m of 'net benefit' ÷ 1.35 million households. The £17.6m left out almost all the financing cost of the £940m capital because of the unit error (interest shown as £0.0015m instead of £1.5m), and the per-kWe capital (£34m once fixed) is 28 times smaller than the £940m the same sheet reported.
